Technical Support Engineer
Summary:
Selectica Customer Service team is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide outstanding support and resolve customer cases for Selectica Contract Management Software Application. The Technical Support Engineer is the ongoing face of Selectica to our customers and a critical component to the success of the Customer Service team mission statement of ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Provides first and second level support to our customers
• Follow up and resolve customer submitted service requests in a timely manner
• Work with engineering to resolve product issues effecting customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with Professional Services, Engineering, and Product Management to address product issues and feature requests
Requirements:
• Must have prior working experience with programming/scripting (Javascript, XML, and Java) as well as experience with relational databases especially (Oracle and SQLServer)
• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
• Field Service or Customer Service experience
• Customer focused attitude
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Very good knowledge of OS (Windows, Unix and Linux)
• Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows/Linux/Unix operating system, Internet-based applications, and web servers
