Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. designs, develops and sells semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications such as converged VoIP and data, and broadband optical transmission in enterprise, access, metropolitan and wide area wireline and wireless networks.

Mindspeed's products are used in a wide variety of network infrastructure equipment including voice and media gateways, high-speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers and digital loop carrier equipment.

We are opening a position System qualification software developer for our Ukraine office.

Key requirements:

• Masters/Bachelors CS degree or similar degree or experience.
• General understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Proven ability to effectively organize and work productively on simultaneous tasks.
• Experience in coding in C/C++ and/or Perl.
• Experience in debugging big projects.

All or some of the qualifications listed below considered adding a major value to the applicant:

• Experience in test development.
• TTCN-3 experience.
• Experience in DB development.
• Other scripting languages (python, tcl, UNIX shell).
• Knowledge of all or some telecommunications standards and protocols such as T1/E1, T3, E3, SONET, xDSL, GSM, WiMAX, LTE, TCP, Ethernet, ATM, signaling protocols (SIP, SS7), Voice over IP/ATM, modem communication etc.
• Voice and/or video codecs and other related experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good written English, spoken English would be a plus.
• Must be able to interface with other groups to define and develop new tools and enhance existing software.

Responsibilities will include:

Development of new core and additional software modules and using C/C++ and Perl for new Video/Voice over Network proprietary device qualification software; development TTCN-3 scripting modules to automate device software qualification; running qualification cycles, gathering, reporting and analyzing results.
